Celebrating

The Year of the Snake

18.12.2024

2025 marks the Year of the Snake in the Chinese zodiac, and to honour this special occasion, we are delighted to unveil a new addition to The Snakes Collection.

The snake carries powerful symbolism, with serpents historically associated with eternity and transformation, serving as symbols of wisdom and protection.

This newly added bracelet features an 18 karat yellow gold snake charm, satinized by hand for a distinctive, textured finish. The charm is elegantly paired with a hand-knotted, adjustable red cord, symbolizing luck and prosperity – a meaningful celebration of the Chinese New Year.

The Snakes collection

During a visit to Cairo in the early 1960s, Ole Lynggaard was inspired by the sculptural grace of snake ornaments. Upon returning to Denmark, he began developing his Snakes design, perfecting the details over the years to create his first piece – a gift to his wife and muse, Karin. Over 50 years later, he unveiled The Snakes Collection to the world, a signature collection that has since grown with new creations.

With its sculptural elegance and timeless allure, Ole Lynggaard’s iconic Snakes design has wriggled its way into the hearts of many – and since its introduction in 2013, The Snakes Collection has become a defining expression of Danish design. The latest bracelet in the collection, designed by Charlotte Lynggaard, is a continuation of her father’s visionary design.
